Where we came from, what we do and what we want to achieve...

Intalent Solutions Ltd commenced trading on 1st February 2015. With over 12 years in-house Recruitment & HR experience and following three years of extensive research, Founder Matthew Edge-Wilkins established the need for a more collaborative, partnership based approach towards effective recruitment and retention. More and more companies are bringing their Recruitment & HR Functions in-house because they feel dissatisfied with their existing external providers in their ability to deliver great talent and an excellent level of HR services. Our aim is to solve this ‘pain’ by delivering a bespoke range of services that champion the sourcing skills of an executive search firm, with the focus, knowledge and engagement of an in-house function.

Founder and Director
Matthew is the Founder, Director and leading Recruiter at Intalent. With a passion for people and property, Matthew has over 13 years’ Recruitment & HR experience and is an expert at headhunting passive talent through social media and advanced online search techniques.
LEANA KNIGHT
HR & Business Development Consultant
Leana is the Business Development Manager at Intalent. Leana loves meeting new people, building strong business relationships and ensuring that everything we do exceeds our Clients’s and Candidate’s expectations and champions our Company Values.
TOBY JOHNSON
Digital Marketing Assistant
Toby is Intalent's Digital Marketing Assistant. He is passionate within his role and strives to gain more knowledge and constantly improve his skill set. Confident and friendly, Toby gets on well with people he meets and works around.

MATTHEW EDGE-WILKINS

Founder and Director

After an early career in financial services, working with large blue-chip organisations – Barclays, Zurich Insurance and PricewaterhouseCoopers; Matthew’s recruitment career started in 2003 as the result of a chance meeting in a bar in Sydney, Australia whilst in the middle of a 12 month round-the-world adventure.

That meeting led to Matthew joining Freespirit Consulting who provide support and talent management services to contractors, obtaining a four-year sponsorship in the process. 12 months later, Matthew joined the International Student Placement Centre (ISPC), which has since been bought out by Sydney University. This was a cold desk start, where Matthew was responsible for recruiting a high volume of international students into 6 – 12 month internship placements across Sydney. Through his successful experiences in Australia, Matthew realised he was far better at working with people than numbers and in 2005 Matthew returned to the UK to continue his career in recruitment and HR.

This career path took Matthew to various roles, companies and industries including Bournemouth & Poole College, Merlin Entertainments, Agincare and finally onto Platinum Property Partners. During these roles, Matthew successfully headhunted for positions up to Managing Director level, as well as leading high volume recruitment projects.

A full member of the Institute of Recruitment Professionals, Matthew’s success was awarded 'Highly Commended' status as runner-up in the 'Best In-house Recruitment Manager' category at the 2013 National In-house Recruitment Awards. He was then asked to be a judge at the 2014 National In-house Recruitment Awards and in the same year was shortlisted for James Caan's Recruitment Entrepreneur Program.

Following this in-house success and over three years of research, Matthew felt there was a gap in the market for a company who could provide the talent sourcing expertise of a seasoned headhunter, with the HR knowledge and service quality levels of an In-house Recruitment & HR Manager.

As a result of this, Matthew launched Intalent (called ‘Myinhouse Recruitment’ initially) in February 2015. Matthew is an active contributor of recruitment expertise on LinkedIn and Twitter and has been featured in a variety of recruitment related news articles. He has also been the monthly recruitment expert for House Magazine - giving his thoughts and opinions on the latest recruitment trends and hot topics.

Outside of work, Matthew is happily married with two children….and a cat and spends most of his free time (which is minimal!) either playing or watching football (loves West Ham Utd), or taking his children out and about for adventures in the New Forest. Matthew also loves music, films, Costa Coffee and Chinese take-aways!

LEANA KNIGHT

Business Development Manager

Leana joined Intalent in May 2016. Within six months, Leana's entrepreneurial spirit and experience made her the perfect candidate to help grow the business.

Prior to joining Intalent, Leana ran her own successful business in the pet care sector in the UK and the UAE for eight years, and before this had experience in a variety of industries including property, insurance and mortgages. Whilst living in the UAE with her husband, Leana gained her CELTA qualification and taught English as a foreign language to multiple nationalities.

Using the UAE as a base, they travelled extensively around South East Asia, the Middle East and East Africa, gaining insight into the various cultures, religions and the political history behind such diverse countries.

Following the birth of their daughter in 2015 in Dubai, they made the decision to move back to the UK. Leana is passionate. Passionate about people, business, family, go-karting and is a gaming aficionado!

Leana's charismatic and tenacious personality shines through when meeting people, easily making connections and bringing experts together to encourage business collaboration. Her other main duties at Intalent include providing HR and recruitment support to clients and candidates.

Leana has developed Intalent's brand awareness through progressive marketing and social media campaigns, as well as nurturing key client relations and sales through networking events.

With her natural resourcefulness and determination, Leana has given Intalent a great foundation to facilitate future expansion. "I love coming into work and getting the opportunity to make a difference.

Every day sets a new challenge and I can’t wait to see where we can take Intalent in the future.

TOBY JOHNSON

Digital Marketing Assistant

Toby joined Intalent in June 2017. He decided to set out and begin his career at an earlier age (19) to build himself up and gain experience within the working environment. Since studying marketing during his business course during A-Levels Toby had gained a large interest for the industry. Combining his passion for digital content creation, writing, and coding; Digital Marketing is the perfect career for him.

Growing up with technology, he has been familiar with programmes such as Adobe Photoshop, Cinema 4D, Sony Vegas, and many other outlets for him to create digital content. Due to this background and the combination of studying marketing it propelled his interest and motivated him to take a more technical approach to the industry and to begin studying the ins and outs of Digital Marketing.

After graduating Queen Elizabeth's school where he gained his A-levels he secured a sales consultant role, gaining a foot up and backing him with experience to assist with future job prospects.

Now working at Intalent, Toby manages the social media and website and ensures they are running at full efficiency.
